Spanish Grade 8

Course Description: This class focuses on the continuation of the development of communicative competence in Spanish.  Students will develop a proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing of the language. Assessments will be on-going and include tests, quizzes, projects, writing and performance tasks that allow students to demonstrate what they know and can do in Spanish.  Also, students will gain knowledge and understanding of various Hispanic cultures and will reinforce their knowledge of other disciplines such as geography, history, science and mathematics. (Grade 7&8= level 1 at the high school. Successful completion will place the student in level 2 upon entering 9th grade).
