If you have not completed the Technology Survey, please do so here. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available. The following resources are a starting point for you and we will be updating this as the need arises. If you have specific questions that are not answered by one of the following resources, please reach out via email to your school principal or by calling the school.

● Cox Communications is offering one month of free internet to those who qualify. Cox/connect2compete or call 1-800-234-3993

● To familiarize yourself with Google Classroom Watch this.

● Our goal is to have a learning plan to start on Monday, March 23, 2020.

● We expect students and staff to be available for virtual instruction between the hours of 9:00am to 2:00pm each day.
We will provide more specific details of those expectations within the next few days.

All Schools will be closed from March 16 - 20
Dear Students, Parents, Faculty & Staff of CHSW:
Within the past hour, Cranston Public Schools was notified of a positive test result of the novel coronavirus(COVID-19) for a student at Cranston High School West.  The school department is working with our partners at the Rhode Island Department of Health(RIDOH) to provide you with the latest information as this situation unfolds.
As a result of the circumstances, the  RIDOH has instructed the school department to issue the following guidance to all members of the Cranston High School West school community:
- Beginning today, all students, faculty and staff of Cranston High School West must quarantine themselves at home, under an abundance of caution, for the next 14 days.
- Students, faculty and staff under the quarantine should not leave their homes for the duration of the 14 day quarantine
- Those affected by the quarantine should monitor themselves if they begin to exhibit the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat and shortness of breath.
- Parents, siblings and other family members may leave their homes, at their discretion, but should not admit visitors for any reason.
- Parents, siblings and other family members that begin to exhibit the aforementioned symptoms should also quarantine themselves for 14 days.
If you have any health related questions please contact the RIDOH directly at the following phone numbers:  Monday- Friday, 8:30 A.M - 4:30 P.M. at  401-222-2577, and after hours at 401-276-8046.
I cannot stress how important it is for EVERYONE to follow the CHSW quarantine. I know it is inconvenient and difficult to do this, but it is only the first full day and people are out. We know students are at the mall and adults are out doing their regular Saturday errands. This is not helpful, and potentially dangerous.
Admittedly, nobody knows what will happen seemingly hour to hour with the spread of this virus. But, the least we can do as good, responsible citizens is follow what the health experts are asking us to do. If you don't think it is important for yourself to do this, please consider the potential impact on someone else's health.
Thank you,
Jeannine Nota-Masse, Superintendent
Cranston Public Schools
