Why does the school have counselor?
The counselors are here to help all students….
· Do his or her best in school
· Feel good about themselves
· Get along with others
· Make good decisions
· Learn to solve problems
What will the counselor do?
· Listen to students
· Help improve behavior, communication, and study habits
· Talk about things that are important to the students
· Develop goals and help students achieve success
How will the counselor work with my child?
The counselor may work with your child
· In the classroom
· In small groups
· Individually
When may my child see the counselor?
· When a class has a guidance lesson
· When parents or teachers request services
· During lunch & recess or in the hall
