What else can we do with the project?

The project arrives full of activities to integrate with the curriculum. You will find a classroom set of the Frog and Toad Are Friends books with an audio cassette. There is a collection of books both fact and fiction about frogs and toads. The project includes a binder of activities that may be used as deemed appropriate by individual participants. (Please photocopy any activity you use and replace the original in the binder.) There is a container of buttons to use for sorting. There are rubber stamps of buttons to use for patterning activities. And, of course, you will find Frog, Toad, and the Good Deeds Vest with the project. Just pick and choose activies that support your curriculum.

What internet activities can we do?

There are several activities which will introduce technology to your class:

  • Visit sites to introduce the WWW to the class and to learn more about frogs and toads.
  • Visit the project web page to view participating classes good deeds.
  • Send letters to Toad and e-mails to Frog. Discuss the post (snail mail) and electronic mail. Determine situations when it might be appropriate to use each.
  • Submit student work for our Student Showcase page and have students admire their achievements!
