5^th Grade Webpage

Fifth grade is an exciting year at Hope Highlands. Our entire year is spent actively learning, using a variety of methods.

Students will work independently, with partners, in cooperative groups, as well as whole class to enrich their learning experience and provide a solid foundation for 6^th grade.

During the school year, students will make presentations, read a variety of chapter books from various genres, develop essays, and play math games to sharpen skills. Math facts should be reviewed nightly to ensure proficiency.

We will be enriching our curriculum by taking field trips and working on class projects.

Our main goal is for students to become independent, life long learners. Another goal is to provide a smooth transition to 6^th grade by strengthening work habits and study skills.

We believe that the learning process should also be fun and look forward to making students’ year at Hope Highlands an enjoyable and productive experience!
