Art
Room 212- Ms. Hart
Welcome!
This year in art class, students will be exploring areas such as drawing,
painting, printmaking sculpture, graphic design and environmental design. Students will also be learning how to use art
elements (line, shape, color, value, space, texture and form) and art
principles (balance, unity, contrast, emphasis, pattern, rhythm and movement)
to create art and assess artwork.
Students
will also be using a wide variety of art materials in class such as pencil,
pastels, watercolor paint, tempera paint, acrylic, collage, found objects and
more. Students will learn about famous
artists and art history and how art is important as part of our community.
