Dear Parent, December
12, 2011
Last week our student council asked
students to write letters of cheer for the soldiers in Afghanistan. Kindergarten
did a wonderful job writing letters with holiday pictures on one side and
coloring the American flag on the other!
Letters to Santa
Kindergarten also wrote letters to
Santa last week. Macy’s is offering $1.00 for each stamped addressed envelope to
benefit the charity “Make a Wish”, helping seriously ill children and their
families. Please send a stamped envelope - but NOT sealed - to school with your child tomorrow (or ASAP, as
letters are ready to be mailed when all envelopes are in.) Additional letters
in stamped envelopes may be brought to school and added to the class total if
you so wish.
School picture re-take day is tomorrow, Tuesday.
Giving Tree –
All gifts due by Wednesday, Dec. 14th. Thank you to all who participated.
Kindergarten will be caroling (inside) next
Wednesday 12/21. In keeping with the
spirit of the holidays your child may wear a hat, scarf or holiday “headwear”
while caroling, then we will snack on pop corn and apple juice. At 1:30 is the school holiday show. AM students are invited to sit with the PM
students for the show. At night is the
K-3 Holiday program at 7:00PM.
To assist the room parents in being
able to contact parents as events come up and/or when items are needed for our
classroom, I am asking you to please complete the form at the bottom of the
page listing your email address.
