What is the Role of the School Counselor?

v We visit each classroom at least once a month to discuss topics such as study skills, self-esteem, friendship skills, conflict resolution, managing difficult feelings, etc.  

v We meet with students individually who may be experiencing difficulty academically, personally, or socially.  

v We meet with students in small groups to address such issues as self-esteem, getting along with others, improving behavior or academics, and anger management.  

v We work with teachers and parents to help each student achieve his or her full potential academically, personally and socially.
