Library Policies
Student Access
A student may come to the library with a pass signed by a teacher from any classroom during any class period. The library is closed during advisory. Students are not allowed to leave the cafeteria during lunch to visit the library. The library is open to all students and passes are not required after 2:00. The library remains open most days until 3:00.

Loans
Students may borrow books for a period of three weeks. Students may come to the library and request renewal of loans for additional time. The library charges 10 cents per school day for overdue books. There is no charge for weekends and scheduled holidays. Students must pay list price toward the cost of replacing lost or damaged books.

Interlibrary Loans
Students may log in and use our Falcon Catalog to request RILINK interlibrary loan of books that are not currently available on our own library's shelves. Students should expect a normal wait of from two to five school days for delivery from other schools.
The librarian can, when necessary, request books from public libraries and college libraries. Delivery from those libraries takes longer. It is generally more convenient for students to log in and make Public Library inter-library loan requests for themselves.

Internet Acceptable Use Policy
In order to be granted access to the Internet from school computers, all students must have a signed Acceptable Use Policy form on file in the office. The form is printed in the student handbook distributed to students in September and taken home to be signed. Additional forms are available in the school office.
