Course Overview

Students will gain the necessary skills needed to be successful in the twenty-first century workplace. Students will develop strategies to make an effective transition from school to career. Students will be able to use the Internet to increase their knowledge and employment potential. They will also use the Internet to research perspective employers in various career fields. Partnerships formed between the Career Preparation class and area businesses result in guest speakers that inform students of the ever-evolving needs of the workplace. This course will give students practical tools that will help them gain a competitive advantage and achieve full career potential.
