A teacher or classroom web page can be used for one or several of the following purposes:

• On-line Lesson: All Along A River can be used as a fourth or fifth grade geography lesson.
• On -Line Field Trip:A Tour of Washington,D.C. is one example.
• Web Quest: a web quest provides the student with questions and specific web sites where the answers can be found. Many of them provide rubrics and data sheets to print out. Hurricane 2000 is appropriate for a fourth grade weather study.
• Collaborative Internet Projects:Many sites offer projects in which you can participate. Owl Prowl has clear and simple guidelines for participation. Student work is posted on the site.
• Communication between the teacher or class and the parents or school community. Concerts, general information, chorus contract (can be printed) are posted on Notes from Mrs. McMahon.

• Mrs. Bogucki's Third Grade Class was honored as the Best School Web Site in Virginia for 1999-2000.
• You'll need a whole afternoon to visit Mrs. Silverman's Second Grade Class.
