Chester
W. Barrows School
Mr. Joseph Rotz,
Principal Graduation
2006

Dear Parents/Guardians:
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to another exciting, eventful, and challenging year at Chester W. Barrows School. We are very proud of our students and our achievements. We believe that academic success begins with high expectations for pupil performance and behavior.
At Chester Barrows School, our dedicated teaching staff provides an atmosphere that is truly child-oriented with many hands-on, authentic learning experiences that both challenge and stimulate the intellectual, emotional, and social needs of each and every student.
Parents at Barrows are strongly urged to get involved in the education of their children. We have many school programs, events, and fund raisers that our PTO will need additional support planning and organizing. In order to instill a genuine love of school and learning in children, it is essential that a positive home school partnership be created and nurtured.
Our School Improvement Team (SIT) meets on a monthly basis. We welcome all suggestions and ideas and hope that more parents/guardians attend these meetings. It is imperative that we consider all stakeholders' recommendations in the school improvement process.
If you would like to be a part of any/all activities, please feel free to get involved. We organize a monthly calendar that is sent home with each student at the beginning of each month. Our monthly calendar features all of the events, activities, and monthly meetings taking place at Chester Barrows. Most find this calendar a valuable resource while trying to organize monthly events. Simply post this calendar at home and add any other outside activities to it as well.
There are three key components to success: discipline, respect, and organization. All are equally important and essential to your child succeeding.
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff at Chester W. Barrows, we extend our best wishes for a happy, fulfilling , and productive year.
Respectively,
Joseph S. Rotz
Principal
